What if you failed an exam ?
So you failed an exam ,what happens next ?
Perhaps, you’re upset and think doors are starting to close on your face, you studied hard ,you struggled during a whole semester, did all-nighters and finally it didn’t work .
Failing an exam can be awesome!
Believe it or not it makes a great opportunity to look back on your study strategy, review what worked and what didn’t ,and allows you to start a fresh beginning all the way through the second semester
It should not derail your path,
I always say, one should know thyself ,you’re totally aware of your capacities and understand perfectly how things work for you ,which means that if you failed an exam ,you should be able to point out and diagnose accurately the reasons that contributed to your failure .
This is the 1st thing you should do : sit down and think about it ,write these causes down on a sheet of paper . It can be :stress , sleep deprivation, lack of preparation ,bad time management ,missing classes…you name it
The 2nd step is to accept them as they are ,and look for solutions ,ask your professors to help you ,in terms of your study plan ,look for advice from your classmates ,have online friends who already have been in your class ,they can be of a great help ,believe me !the bottom mind is that you need to develop better work habits and learn from your previous mistakes
"If the purpose for learning is to score well on a test,we've lost sight of the real reason of learning " Jeannie Fulbrigh
The 3rd step ,is to move on and let go, how many times you’ve had a bad grade ,did that affect you in any way ? it surely did ,but as you look back I believe you can easily see everything happens for a reason, so many obstacles will face you during your study path but one of the most important things you should know is that a grade can never ever define who you are .
