The perks of being Algerian

Many people think that Algeria is a living hell, even Algerians think that way too, they only see the dirt, the heat, the sand and the judgmental opinions of society, but what about a change of perspective? How about cleaning all this dirt and mud and check five reasons that being an Algerian is something as extra ordinary as watching the milky way in the darkest of the nights.

1- You are born Satisfied :

First things Algerians say is Hamdu Lillah, which means Thank God. Everything they do or say is followed by that :
" How was your day? "
" Tiring, but hamdu lillah"

This is the positivity you hear about in motivating videos and this is the Algerian spirit.
Algerians see life as a challenge they can take, they do their best to make everyday a brighter day, and happiness starts when one's self accepts what they have and do with it.

2- Fearlessness :

A century ago, Algerians fought colonization, with a mighty courage and the strongest desire to live in freedom. Noways, nothing seems to frighten them, they are fearless.
Try telling an Algerian about a raging storm hitting the west coast, they will answer : " Normal" . They mean that this is not something extra ordinary, it's logical and understandable so why be amazed.
It takes a hell of a decade to put a hand on something that will jaw drop the mouth of an Algerian.

3- we breathe the fun like oxygen :

You can be crying your heart out because your cat died, they'll remind you about the time they hit it to the wall, or the time they tied a pan at its tail, and if you're an Algerian, well, you'll laugh as hard as they will, because this life is too short to be cried, so smile, laugh and if anything happens, remember " Normal" .
You can be on the train, on a bus, in a taxi and you see a bunch of friends walking together silently, well, this silence will not remain for too long because a storm of laughter is about to break.
You may have an Algerian friend - or even be that friend- that always make others laugh with jokes, silly behaviours and a joyful attitude, even though they probably faced some problems that same morning they met with you, they'll still smile because the fact number one, helps us erase everything and enjoy the moment with the loudest laughter.

4- stressful situations are not stressful at all :

Algerians are known to be born with nervousness, at the age of two years old, you find him running everywhere, with constant energy and if you tell him to stop, he'll become red like a tomato because he's angry.
At the age of twenty or seventy, that doesn't change, you find Algerians always doing something, even if it's nothing, it is still something, and if you disturb them they'll crash a come back at you like thunder.
Therefore, when the time comes and there's a horrible deadline for a big project, there's no problem at all, they're so used to stress and nervosity that they deal with it like a piece of cake.

5- There is always a solution :

Bill gates says: " I give the hard work to lazy people, because they'll always find an easy way out"
This quote applies to the Algerians, because we love nothing but sleeping and eating, we find easy, simple, efficient and great solutions to our daily problems.
For example : instead of going out, spending money on a tv cable, trying to get some signal to watch the local football championship, you just need to insert a fork in the tv instead of the cables and then you incline it until you get the proper image. And it is done. Isn't it just such a trick that will let you be happy forever.

See how much being an Algerian can help you in life, it's just a big complex equation that no one can understand unless they write it down a billion times :

Human + green+ white + red + love = Algeria

We should take sometime and really appreciate our country the way it is. And if there's anything bothering us, well, number 5 is the solution to the problem.
